This exclusive getaway offers the perfect blend of coastal beauty and mountain serenity. Chiriquí province, known for its strong economy fueled by livestock, agriculture, and tourism, attracts visitors from across Panama. Its diverse landscapes provide an unforgettable experience, from the finest coffee in the world to the refreshing mountain climate that offers a respite from the tropical heat. For those seeking a peaceful retreat in Boquete, this region is a true paradise.

Known as the land of coffee and rum, flowers and vegetables, and home to world-class thoroughbred horses, Chiriquí is a destination that locals swear has it all. Over the course of two days and one night, you’ll immerse yourself in a sensory adventure that will awaken your sight, smell, taste, and more.

Day 1: Gulf of Chiriquí Marine Park and Boquete

The tour begins with an early departure to maximize your time in this beautiful region. Pickup from Panama City will be at 4:00 AM, and pickup from Coronado will be at 5:00 AM. Please be on time to ensure a smooth start to your journey.

The first part of the tour will take you to the National Marine Park of Gulf of Chiriquí, where your senses of sight and hearing will be captivated. On this aquatic excursion, you’ll have the chance to spot dolphins, manta rays, sea turtles, and a variety of birds. For sport fishing enthusiasts, this is an unmissable destination. During whale season (July to September), the park becomes even more magical, with majestic whales migrating to our temperate Pacific waters to calve, creating an unforgettable spectacle.

We’ll visit two islands, where you can relax on pristine, crystal-clear beaches. Lunch will be served on one of the islands, and in the late afternoon, we’ll head back to the port to catch a bus to our hotel in Boquete.

Boquete, a charming town nestled in the highlands at the foot of the stunning Barú Volcano, offers a tranquil retreat with breathtaking views. The town, often referred to as the “Valley of the Flowers,” is famous for its cool, spring-like climate, which contrasts with the tropical heat found in many other parts of Panama. Boquete enjoys year-round pleasant temperatures, thanks to its elevation of 1,200 meters (4,000 feet) above sea level. This moderate climate nurtures lush gardens and vibrant flowers, as well as rich farmland that produces some of the best fruits, vegetables, and coffee in the country.

In addition to its natural beauty, Boquete is home to a warm and welcoming community of both locals and expatriates. The small town boasts a lively arts scene, a variety of locally-owned shops, and cozy cafes where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air. It’s a place where visitors can take leisurely walks through the town’s central square, browse local markets, and enjoy a slower pace of life.

After check-in at your hotel, you’ll have an hour to refresh before we gather for a group dinner at one of Boquete’s excellent local restaurants, where you can sample delicious dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.

Day 2: Coffee and Rum Tastings in Boquete

The next day is a treat for the senses of taste and smell. Our journey begins with a tour of coffee plantations in Boquete, where you’ll learn about the entire coffee process, from cultivation to brewing the perfect cup. Boquete is renowned for producing some of the finest coffee in the world, particularly the Geisha variety, which is known for its complex flavors and aromatic profile. The region’s rich volcanic soil, combined with its cool climate, provides the perfect growing conditions for these exceptional beans, making Boquete a global coffee capital.

During the coffee tour, you will see how the beans are harvested, processed, and roasted, and you’ll have the chance to taste freshly brewed coffee that showcases the unique flavors of the region. You’ll also enjoy a delicious lunch at a coffee farm, with stunning views of the Barú Volcano in the distance, allowing you to appreciate the surrounding natural beauty while savoring a fresh cup of local coffee.

Afterward, we’ll take you on a Rum Tour, where you’ll experience the rich flavors of a special rum produced at over 1,500 meters above sea level. The cool, high-altitude climate gives this rum its distinctive smoothness, and you’ll get to learn about the family-run distillery’s history and traditions, as well as sample this unique spirit.

Before heading back home, we’ll make a brief stop to purchase fresh, local vegetables at one of Boquete’s vibrant markets. This is the perfect opportunity to take home some of the region’s finest produce and extend the experience of this beautiful area.

Whether you’re drawn to Boquete’s stunning natural beauty, its world-renowned coffee, or its cool, refreshing climate, this getaway will leave you with lasting memories. With its majestic mountains, rich culture, and vibrant community, Boquete offers a peaceful, immersive escape into the heart of Panama’s highlands—an unforgettable sensory adventure that will inspire you to return time and time again.
